Recipe – Very Berry High Protein Smoothie

If you LOVE smoothies with that thick, almost “frozen yogurt” texture, this recipe is for you (feel free to add more milk or water if you prefer (or can only tolerate) a thinner texture). It’s like a delicious, frozen yogurt treat that ALSO helps to meet you protein needs – amazing right?

This recipe gives you roughly 36 grams of protein, as well as lots of fibre, nutrients and antioxidants.

*Note that the protein amount will vary depending on the type of milk and protein powder you use.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 3/4 cup frozen cranberries
  • 5 frozen whole strawberries
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 3/4 cup high protein milk
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Add ingredients to blender.
  2. Shake well before blending.
  3. Blend. If the ingredients are not blending well, try stopping the blender and shaking again (this will mix the liquid up with the ingredients and help it blend better), then resume blending. Add a small amount of water if needed.
